Simon Cowell is not afraid to dip into his deep pockets in order to get what he wants. In this case, it’s Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole.

The American Idol judge is offering Cole one-million pounds to return for a second season of Britain’s version of Idol, The X factor.

Cole originally signed a one season deal to see how things went, but Cowell was so impressed with the reception she got from fans and contestants, he’s offered to double her salary to do a second season.

He’s going to have to hurry though as Girls Aloud is in talks to do a U.S. tour, which would make Cole unavailable during show time.

We’ll see what means more to her, the band or Cowell’s Cash!
