Accommodating the drunk!
Transformers 2 director Michael Bay has decided to make the best of Shia LaBeouf’s crushed hand by writing it into the new movie.
LaBeouf was originally said to be sidelined for about a month after extensive surgery to repair his mangled hand following his Sunday night DUI accident that was later found to be not his fault.
Bay said;
“I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital,” Bay said. “His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story.”
Likely they will shoot the scenes with Shia’s hand as soon as he’s ready to go, then go back and re-shoot how the injury happened once all is healed.
My personal suggestion is why fabricate it. LaBeouf was in his truck with one of his co-stars, Isabel Lucas, so why not write a scene into the movie where they go out drinking, he drives home, and they get in the accident.
