Did you know she’s been writing her own songs and music since she was twelve?  Shakira has also played an active part in fighting poverty and child labor in her native Colombia.  They even made a statue of her in her home town. Also, Shakira recently uploaded a bunch of personal items on e-bay!! The proceeds will, of course, go to her favorite charities in Colombia.  What would you like to buy?
