Pro-Ana game site for teens and young girls has parents outraged!
It’s supposed to be a game site for girls 9-16 years of age. How to play? Well, you control your virtual weight and make your dolly “get skinny”, in order to win virtual “money” to be used on diet pills, designer duds, and plastic surgeries. Why? Because then you get to become the “skinniest, most beautiful skinny girl” who gets to marry a millionaire at the end of the game! Duh!
The page was created by 23 year old Nicolas Jacquart, originally in France (where it was also protested against). A new Great Brtiain version has recently been released, and it already counts over 200,000 users! Parents and medical doctors alike have begun to voice out against the site, after various girls have fallen seriously ill, due to the game’s influence. Protesters have compared www.missbimbo.com to a “newer, more dangerous” version of the Pro-Ana sites invading the internet, as it appeals to a younger, more innocent crowd.
Nine year old anorexic gold diggers?! I’ think it’s about time mum and dad start taking control of their kids, peel their little bug-eyes off the internet, and start dusting their squeaky rusty bikes! Whatever happened to the days of imagination and playing outside?!
