Divas Simply Singing
If you are in L.A. you need to come out to Divas Simply Singing! tonight at the Wilshire Theatre Beverly Hills ● 8440 Wilshire Blvd. ● Beverly Hills, CA 90211 ● The all-star, mega-watt DIVA line up includes: Patti LaBelle, Patti Austin, Angie Stone, Raven-Symone, Lalah Hathaway, Siedah Garrett, Miki Howard, Coko of SWV, Sarah Dash, Trin-i-Tee 5:7, Leigh Jones, Alicia Myers, Roslyn Kind, Sherri Lewis, Ellia English and Von Smith along with original Dreamgirls Loretta Devine and Ralph from the hit Broadway play. Kenny Lattimore will be the resident divo, performing among the ladies. The pre-show will be hosted by Emmy-nominated funny lady, Kym Whitley. Divas Simply Singing! is a loving tribute to the many friends and family taken by HIV/AIDS. The annual benefit concert, produced in conjunction with the Diva Foundation, helps to raise money and awareness about the spread of HIV/AIDS. This year, Divas Simply Singing! is partnering with the Women Alive Coalition and the Sisters’ Circle South Africa project. The organization focuses on generating resources and coordinating activities to create awareness of and combat against HIV/AIDS. The Diva Foundation utilizes music and entertainment as a vehicle to inform, educate and erase the stigma attached to this deadly disease.
