At least he has a sense of humor.
It’s good to see celebrities shining little light on an annoying situation. But the last person I expected it from was Joel Madden.
Though he’s not as stiff as his brother Benji when it comes to media attention, the usually straight faced serious father of Nicole Richie’s baby isn’t known for being a jokester.
When wedding rumors started going around and Joel started recieving calls from family members and friends asking why they weren’t invited, Joel took to the blogs.
In a post on the official Good Charlotte website, Joel wrote; “WE DID IT, NICOLE AND I FINALLY GOT MARRIED!”
He then posted a picture of a wedding cake, and two gorillas dressed as bride and groom before announcing that he was “Just Kidding.”
Joel went on to say;
“So i feel really stupid even posting this, but i’ve been getting calls and texts from my family all week asking me why they weren’t invited to my wedding. I guess the only answer i could give them was that i didnt know we were having one. So i just found out that star magazine wrote some story about a 2 MILLION dollar wedding we are supposed to be having, and thats where it came from. Sooooo if you were pissed at me for not inviting you or even telling you, dont blame me, theres nothing to worry about. Its just star magazine. How long do you think it will be before they write we called it off, or we broke up? i give them a week or two……”
