How does a girl recruited out of high school to be on television for the drama going on in her life afford that house in the hills and daily shopping sprees to stores like Chanel without a “real job?”  Well in the case of Lauren Conrad and company, MTV is shelling out a lot of beans per episode to deliver us the fourth season of the hit *reality* drama.  Read on to find out just how much your favorite cast member makes.

InTouch has uncovered the secret behind “Hills paychecks” and basically it seems the more drama you bring to the show, the higher your pay.

Lauren Conrad: $75,000 per episode
Heidi Montag: $65,000 per episode
Spencer Pratt: $65,000 per episode
Audrina Patridge: $35,000 per episode
Whitney Port: $20,000 per episode
Brody Jenner: $10,000 per episode
Lauren “Lo” Bosworth: $10,000 per episode
Stephanie Pratt: $8,000 per episode.

It’s also rumored that LC has one demand in her contract, that no character is able to receieve more money per episode than she is.

It’s also rumored that Justin Bobby was left from the list because he makes 1 million dollars per episode, under the table.  Thats how bad asses make their money… always under the table, tax free.

So think about this while your studying for college exams, or while your sitting in your little office for 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, making half of what Spencer Pratt makes in one 22 minute episode. You shouldn’t have spent 4 years in school, you should have just became a douche!

Is the Hills casting for season 5 yet?
