International Supermodel, Convicted!
Bam! and the gavel falls. That’s right ladies and gents Naomi Cambell, Diva extraordinaire, has been convicted of assault on two London peace officers. Naomi is no stranger to assault or the assaulting of those who are unfortunate enough to get in her way.
What makes this situation such a brain twister is this, was the crime one of passion? Or was Naomi looking for a spot of diva driven media? In a not too distant past she was court ordered to to serve community service for assaulting an assistant with a phone, a small price to pay when it leads to front page fashion news.
Naomi Cambell was sentenced to 200 hours of community service and ordered to pay each officer damages of $400. She was also fined $1,250 for a public order offense and additional $3,200 for using insulting and abusive words towards cabin crew.
Campbell told Sky News she was provoked by an airline employee who referred to her by a racist slur calling her a gollywog, supermodel. Whichever motive is the case, the punishment will pale when compared to the extra work this publicity will bring.
