Fey to Retire Her Palin.
Sarah Palin has promised us Americans that we havent seen the last of her, but Tina Fey is hangin’ up her maverick gear.
Fey told EW follwing Barack Obama being named our countries next President; “I have to retire just because I have to do my day job,”
She says she will pass the wig down to the next generation thought, namely Kristen Wiig who Fey thinks could do a really good job.
I have a feelin’ though, that say 4 years from now when the time is right, Fey’s phone will be ringin’ with an offer she can’t refuse.

Apparently Saturday Night Live is going to be Saturday Night Lame tonight for their final 2 hour election special and air a pre taped show.
This pretty much dismisses any chance of Barack Obama showing up as I expected would happen on the liberal owned network, but I guess there will be pre-taped cameos by John McCain and Sarah Palin, as well as the Hilary Clinton played by Amy Pohler who is now off of the show due to giving birth to a son, Archie, just a week or so ago.
In addition to the new material, SNL will be showing some of their ‘greatest political hits’ which could potentially mean clips dealing with prior elections as well.
Sounds like a cheap attempt at being able to sell a DVD if you ask me.
Shoulda been all new and all live.
I was hoping to see more material on that guy running with Obama that nobody talks about too.

John McCain made his appearance on SNL last night, and appeared in an “infomercial” with Tina Fey as his running mate, Sarah Palin.
Senator McCain’s wife Cindy also got in on the skit.
In his second skit, he appeared with Seth Meyers on the Amy Pohler-less Weekend Update where he poked fun at his ‘maverick status.’

There’s no doubt that Tina Fey is five times funnier than Sarah Palin, as seen on Saturday Night Live last Saturday, but when it comes to the real Palin, Fey knows whos the hottie of the two.
In an interview with TV guide; Fey tells the mag; “I’ll tell you, that lady is five times better-looking than I am. She’s 44? She’s got none of that droopy s–t. She’s keeping it tight!”
Your damn right she’s 5 times better looking Fey!
But Fey admits when she first heard about Palin, she didn’t think they resembled each other very much at all. That was until the Republican National Convention when Palin gave her welcoming speech. That’s when Fey thought to herself “Ok, maybe a little.”
With just two Saturdays left before the election, It could potentially be the last two times we see Fey in the Palin character. Hopefully she’s got something real good in store.

Unfortunately they only crossed paths briefly on SNL last night, but Sarah Palin and Tina Fey were on screen at the same time!
In the hilarious scene, Palin eyes Fey up and down as she walks by and it’s quite the look!
The skit also featured cameos by Mark Wahlberg and Alec Baldwin!
Palin also was a part of the weekend update skit titled ‘Palin Rap.’
According to NBC, the show earned it’s highest overnight ratings since the Clinton administration!
Though number totals werent in, it’s expected to be the shows highest ratings since Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan hosted back in 1994.
Will Palin bring unforseen numbers of people out to the polls in just 16 days?

SNL better get ready for the ratings of a life time. Sarah Palin is basically confirmed to be on the show tomorrow night.
Last night when John McCain appeared on David Letterman, Dave asked the Senator if Palin would be appearing this weekend, John’s response was “I’m almost positive, Yes she will be on the show.”
If Saturday night puts a skit together with both Sarah Palin and Tina Fey, it’s going to be THE hottest thing on the internet even before SNL hits the West coast audience on television.
Let’s hope!

Tina Fey says she enjoys playing Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live, but if John McCain wins, and Sarah Palin is the VP, you won’t be seeing any more of Fey as Palin.
She tells TV Guide; “We’re gonna take it week by week. If she wins, I’m done. I can’t do that for four years. And by ‘I’m done,’ I mean I’m leaving Earth,”
Not that she has anything against Palin or the role, it’s just time to move on. Fey adds; “Election time is always good for [SNL] and this is a bonkers election. And that lady is a media star. She is a fascinating person, she’s very likeable. She’s fun to play, and the two bits with Amy [Poehler], that was super fun,”
Palin is rumored to be joining Fey on SNL on the October 25 show where perhaps the two will cross paths as eachother? Let’s hope those rumors come true.
