Clearing Up the Chatter.
John Mayer is back to defending himself on his official blog. John’s been fairly quiet on his page for the past few months, and apparently he’s noticed some fans getting pretty upset about it.
While touching on a bunch of subjects, I found his plea to prove he’s not ‘darker’ to be the most interesting. John Mayer is never a guy I’d label ‘dark’ because to me he seems kinda soft.
Here’s what John had to say;
A quick point about all things media/gossip/paparazzi related, as I know there’s been some chatter amongst the fan boards lately…
I am not darker, angrier or moodier these days. In fact, it’s just the opposite. All that’s happened is that I’ve given up on trying to find a way to use unwanted media as a form of entertainment. (It still was worth a try.) A walk to the car isn’t the best time to try and analyze my mood or disposition, so you’ll probably always get a bad read from it.
He’s right, but gossip wouldn’t be gossip with out false reads and accusations. It’s like that telephone game where you tell someone something and by the time it gets back around it’s completely different. Embrace it, John.

Like many other celebrities, John Mayer has given his support to one particular candidate in the form of a blog on The Huffington Post website.
Here’s what John had to say;
“Obama gives me the feeling that I could be alive to witness one of the most brilliant upturns in a country’s history. What a concept.”
“That’s why hope is a worthwhile commodity, to those who question whether hope is a tangible product worth building a campaign around, I’d say take a look at despair and how powerful that has been in reshaping how people think and live.
“I believe the definition of the ‘hope’ that Barack Obama enthuses operates on the unspoken thesis that there has to be a polar opposite to the despair of 9/11. Because if we accept that there’s not, the will to live becomes forever altered.
“To adults who will vote for him, Barack Obama represents a return to prosperity,” he writes. “To the youth, he represents an introduction to it.”
This is about as douchey of an endorsement as Spencer Pratt for McCain/Palin.

Star Magazine is reporting that Jen Aniston has asked John Mayer to marry her. The pair have only reportedly been back on for a couple of weeks, and apparently trying to keep up with the speed of her biological clock if the rumors are true.
It does seem that every time Angelina Jolie gets in the news, Jen pops back in the picture with a story that attempts to one-up her and Brad Pitt.
Angelina recently just had the cover of W magazine breast-feeding one of her new twins, and has came out in other publications saying how her and Brad fell in love while shooting Mr. and Mrs. Smith, a time when Pitt was still married to Aniston.
All that talk and Jenny’s got herself back on another cover. Only time will tell if Jen and John are forreal next time, but putting the story on a cover next to a high profile and ugly divorce, along with two cheating scandals, and marriage doesn’t seem too appealing does it.

Despite reports that John Mayer has rekindled his romance with Jennifer Aniston, reps for the pair are denying such a thing.
But Star Magazine has uncovered some details about the NYC reunion that has the people talkin.
After sending a barrage of romantic email, John’s persistence has paid off. The actress jetted to New York, where the pair fanned the flames of their renewed romance with intimate sushi dinners at John’s Soho apartment and a very cozy Italian feast at Manhattan’s chic Il Mulino restaurant.
“At first Jennifer was afraid to respond to John’s messages because she was afraid he’d break her heart again,” says an insider. “The emails were especially poetic — like love songs. He said he’d never stop loving her and he’s been very, very persuasive.”
Jen had already scheduled a trip to the Big Apple to film a promotional video for her new perfume, Star has learned exclusively. But business quickly turned to pleasure.
“She could have been in and out of New York City but she lingered on to be with John,” the insider continues
Aniston seems to have the worst luck, but I feel like she could do so much better than John Mayer.
