How to Get Brandon Back on 90210!

Jason Priestley is coming back to 90210 to direct the first season’s 18th episode even though all of the fans would rather him reprise his role of Brandon Walsh in the new CW series, but based on some recent rumors, I think I know how they can get him back.

Shannen Doherty has been confirmed for at least two more episodes of the new 90210 sources confirm.
Shannen was signed on to do only four episodes, and she hinted maybe she’d be back when that run was over. Apparently Shannen, like the rest of us, just can’t get enough of this new show and has signed on to appear in two episodes next month, with the possibility of more to follow.
The rest of the old cast should learn a lesson from this girl and come back!

The only person who should really be excited about Jason Preistley directing an upcoming episode of the new 90210 is Jason Priestley.
He’s opted out of showing his face on screen as Brandon Walsh, but will instead hang out behind the cameras and make sure Shanae Grimes is eating.
Priestley directed 18 episodes of the original series, not to mention starring in 244 so to have him back on the set is pretty cool for a 90210 fan, but as a 90210 fan, all the hype is too much.
For one, there are only a few television shows where you can recognize a director by his work, It’s not like the movies where you can spot a Spielberg film, or a Michael Bay film from a mile away. Plus Priestley is not the Spielberg of television.
In fact, if it wasn’t for sites like this telling you that he’d be directing episode 18 of the new 90210 series which will air after the Christmas break, you’d probably never know until the end credits, because it will look just like the rest of the episodes.
Priestley seemed excited about directing the show though when he called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio program this morning and told him he was hoping for Jennie Garth or Shannen Doherty to be a part of that episode.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun to go over there and work with all those guys.”
“I just hope that Jennie’s in the episode that I do, or that Shannen’s there, That’d be fun for me.”
It would be more fun if he’d just be Brandon Walsh again, I’m sure he’s busy and not out of work and all, but it’s not like the guy has a starring role on some prime time show that would be a conflict of interest.. Just sayin’

90210 star Shenae Grimes has written a blog about the new claims that her and her co-star Jessica Stroup are too skinny and not eating on the set of the new CW hit show.
On her myspace, Grimes writes;
Hey guys!
I didnt think my next blog would be so soon, but I guess it is!
But what im here to blog about is my recent cover of the tabliods and my highly criticized smoking habit. Now, as you all know now probably, I graced my first major magazine cover, only to be called “too skinny” alongside my co-star Jessica Stroup. I would like to say once again that neither me or Jessica have issues with our weight or bodies. I happened to be very small built, and ive always been skinny. So I personally think that people need to stop criticizing everyone in the media these days about their issues. Im sure you wouldnt like it if someone pointed out all of your flaws and all of your mistakes… but thats what the media does to us. Anyways, im ranting.. so onto my next issue.
Tmz has criticized my smoking habit. I cant say that im proud of it, but there are so many people struggling with the addiction nowadays. I started smoking at about 16, and 1 in 5 teenagers smoke. Im not going to really go into the issue, but my hope is that you will all just stop hating and get on with it. I smoke. My choice. Im sorry if you dont like it, but this is who I am. Ive read some of the comments, they arrent the most supportive, but im doing the best to ignore them and just move on.

Tori Spelling is still keeping her schedule clear in hopes that 90210 gives her an offer she cant refuse.
Spelling originally pulled out of the spinoff due to a salary dispute that would have potentially had Shannen Doherty earning more money than her, but she has recently made it known that she wants Donna Martin back as much as the rest of us, saying;
“I’m a big believer in what’s meant to be will be, so if it’s meant to be it will work out,” she says. “I watched it and I think it’s so cute. The new cast is so cute.”
At the Silverspoons Pink Party Luncheon in recognition of breast cancer this past week Tori also spoke with OK! Magazine about losing her baby weight. The new mom had this to say;
“I haven’t lost the weight yet! I’m wearing Spanx. I just stopped breastfeeding so now I can start a diet program. Getting back to working out is the hardest part but we have a really active lifestyle.”
Pretty soon it’s back to work filming their reality show, but that shouldn’t get in the way of 90210, and I don’t particularly see many other offers coming through. Hopefully she didn’t miss her boat tho. Especially since now they’re going to have to make Luke Perry and offer he can’t refuse.

90210 finally revealed last night that Dylan McKay was the father of Kelly Taylors baby. Now their task at hand is to sign actor Luke Perry to reprise his role for the show.
Nothing like the pressure of being written in as the father of someones child right?
People.com spoke with Jennie Garth who plays Kelly Taylor on the series and asked her a series of questions regarding the big reveal. Of finding out they picked Dylan to be the father, Garth says;
“It was very confusing for me because initially the idea of having a son was my idea. I thought it would bring a great amount of depth to my character. Then the question came up, ‘Well, who’s the father?’ And I really hadn’t thought it through that far. So, I was like, Oh, I guess need one of those. It’s gone back and forth: Who and what and when and why? I think they settled on Dylan because Kelly and Dylan had such a passionate relationship in the past. Their relationship was so heated. It was kind of undeniable.”
And on the possibility of a Luke Perry cameo?
“Iwould love to work with Luke [Perry] again. I love him dearly. And I also would love to work with Jason [Priestley] again. It’s a great question for the producers. I would be nothing but totally happy to have either of them there.”
With Garth signing on for 6 more episodes, and Doherty not ruling out her return at a later date, it seems these original cast members are embracing the success of the show and deciding to stick around. Now that it can be assumed the show has staying power, perhaps some of the other alums will start showing up left and right.

Dumbass Aubrey O’day turned down a role on The CW’s new top rated show 90210 to become Amber Von Tussle in the Broadway production of Hairspray.
The Danity Kane singer was reportedly offered the part of the girl present in the scandelous BJ scene that pretty much opened up the series, but had to turn it down to do Broadway.
At last weeks Stand Up Against Cancer Event, O’day told reporters;
“I was up to play a part in that show but I ended up doing Broadway”
“I can’t remember her name, but I can tell you what the script was that I read. It was the girl who was giving head to the boy in the car and she’s the lead in the musical.”
Even stars who belong on Broadway get offered a big break some times. Apparently in this situation, she was too blind to see an opportunity.
Whatever. Hopefully they spend that extra money on Tori Spelling.
