Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff took a break from recording her working title “Transitions” CD, being a busy single mom and the production of her new reality show and Omarosa set aside her deadline for her new book making it a priority to help the homeless at The New Image Emergency Shelter! If everyone just gives a little I know we can help out those who have fallen on hard times!As of July 1st , the New Image Shelter in downtown Los Angeles, the largest provider of emergency housing in California, lost its city funding, reducing the number of beds they can offer from 600 to just 266 nightly.An estimated 400 people, mostly women children and seniors, will have nowhere to sleep or eat as of Tuesday, July 3.A new study conducted by the Shelter Partnership, found that 3,000-4,000 seniors (age 62-plus) are now homeless in L.A. County; 60% of whom have a disability, according to the Shelter Partnership’s Executive Director Ruth Schwartz.New Image now turns away approximately 100 homeless people a day, but this number is expected to grow to more than 400 as of July 1 if they don’t get an outpouring of funds from concerned citizens.A fundraising breakfast hosted by Councilwoman Jan Perry last Thursday raised $4,100.50, but a total of $200k is needed to save the tent that houses 200 women.If they don’t raise $196,000, the tent will come down on JULY 3.New Image has been serving the community for more than 19 years. This is horrible, if i was in LA i wold go down there tomorrow too. Hopefully more celebrities will use their fame and fortune to donate to this cause.
